# Team roles in a space

> Understand the current owner-only space model, why invitations and member-role workflows are unavailable, and how to use your personal space.

An Alysium space currently contains only its owner. Invitations and workflows for assigning roles to other members are unavailable. You do not need to configure a team to use your personal space.

Open [Team settings](https://app.alysium.ai/spaces?settings=team) to view the owner of your active space. This opens the current space's Team tab; it does not add another person or change a role.

## Role terms and current availability

| Term | What it means in the current experience |
| - | - |
| **Owner** | The account that owns the space. Your personal-space setup makes you its owner. |
| **Admin**, **Editor**, **Viewer** | Member-role names. There is currently no supported member workflow for adding another person and assigning these roles. |

The owner cannot be removed or leave their personal space through the member controls. The role menu is not a supported ownership-transfer route. See [Change a member role](https://docs.alysium.ai/spaces/change-a-member-role.md) and [Invite people to your space](https://docs.alysium.ai/spaces/invite-people-to-your-space.md) for the current limits.

## Roles are separate from plans and agent access

A Free/Pro plan concerns space features and usage; it does not add members. A subscription to a creator's agent concerns that offer's access and usage; it does not establish a member role in the creator's space.

Being a space owner also does not make every acquired agent editable. Managed marketplace copies and protected agents can have additional restrictions. Read the offer rather than treating ownership of your space as permission to rewrite another creator's work.

To let someone chat with your agent, use [Share your agent with a link and QR code](https://docs.alysium.ai/share-and-deploy/share-your-agent-with-a-link-and-qr-code.md). A chat link does not make the recipient a space editor. For conversation-history access, read [Who can see which conversations](https://docs.alysium.ai/analytics/who-can-see-which-conversations.md).

For a specific ownership or access problem, use [Get help from a person](https://docs.alysium.ai/help/get-help-from-a-person.md). Explain the work you need to do; a request does not itself grant a role or change ownership.
