# When and how you get paid

> Distinguish buyer payments, creator usage earnings, transfers and bank payouts. Pending money has not necessarily reached your bank account.

A buyer's subscription payment, creator usage earnings, a transfer and a bank payout are different events. Money marked pending is not money your bank has received.

| Event | What it means |
| - | - |
| Subscription payment | Money a buyer paid for access. |
| Usage earnings | Separate earnings from eligible additional AI usage. |
| Transfer or payout | Movement of money after it becomes eligible. Bank arrival is a separate stage. |

Alysium payout history primarily records usage-earnings transfers. Subscription payments and connected-account bank payouts are also shown through Stripe. Do not assume the Alysium history contains every subscription receipt, or count the same transferred money again when you see it in Stripe.

## Understand the waiting periods

| Money being checked | Waiting rule |
| - | - |
| Each successful subscription payment, including renewals | A settlement delay of **30 US business days**. Each payment has its own clock. |
| Usage earnings | A separate **30-calendar-day** age rule before an Alysium transfer. |

The age of your seller account does not remove a new payment's delay. For example, a renewal received after your first payout still has its own settlement period; check that renewal's dates.

Once funds become available, bank arrival remains a separate provider estimate. Use the availability and expected-arrival dates for the actual payment or payout. The end of a hold does not promise same-day bank receipt.

Requirements, current payment readiness and provider conditions can also affect availability.

## Check the right screens

**Already on Creator → Payouts?** Start at **Next payout** in step 4.

1. Open [Team settings](https://app.alysium.ai/spaces?settings=team).
2. Select **Creator**.
3. Select **Payouts**.
4. Read **Next payout** and its explanation.
5. Inspect **Payout history**.
6. Match the item's amount, date or period and status.
7. Select **Open Stripe Express** where offered to inspect the connected account's balance and bank-payout details.

The settings link opens the active space on Team. If it asks you to sign in, sign in and reopen it if needed. If Payouts is not offered, use [Use your Creator Dashboard](https://docs.alysium.ai/selling-and-payouts/use-your-creator-dashboard.md) for the setup/navigation conditions.

## Read the displayed status

| Status | Meaning |
| - | - |
| **In transit** | Money is moving. |
| **Paid** | The displayed system records a completed payout. |
| **Failed** | Check the item's error and account details. |
| **No payouts yet** | Can be a valid empty state; it does not prove an earlier subscription payment vanished. |

A displayed status does not let a help agent inspect your bank receipt. For a missing, failed or unexpected amount, contact [billing@alysium.ai](mailto:billing@alysium.ai) with the visible payment/payout reference, date and status.

Use [What your Stripe status means](https://docs.alysium.ai/selling-and-payouts/what-your-stripe-status-means.md) for readiness messages. [Price your agent](https://docs.alysium.ai/selling-and-payouts/price-your-agent.md) explains which offer choices affect eligible earnings. Check the actual record before promising a bank date from a generic estimate.
