# Delete your account or your data

> Ask the Alysium team about account deletion or an account-wide data request. Profile Settings has no account deletion or account export button.

Ask the Alysium team for help with account deletion or an account-wide data request. The current **Profile Settings** screen has no account-deletion or account-wide export button.

An account-wide request, deleting one saved document and removing an agent's knowledge attachment have different scope. Choose the outcome before sending a request.

## Choose the scope

| What you need | Continue with |
| - | - |
| Delete your account or ask for a copy of account data | [Send an account-level request](#send-an-account-level-request). |
| Stop one agent using a file | [Remove a file from your agent](https://docs.alysium.ai/knowledge-and-library/remove-a-file-from-your-agent.md). |
| Manage a saved Library document, including Trash recovery or erasure | [Restore or permanently delete from Trash](https://docs.alysium.ai/knowledge-and-library/restore-or-permanently-delete-from-trash.md). |
| Delete one agent | [Delete an agent](https://docs.alysium.ai/share-and-deploy/delete-an-agent.md). |

A smaller content action does not substitute for an account-wide request. Logging out or turning optional analytics off does not delete an account.

## Send an account-level request

Use the email address associated with your Alysium account. Do not include a password, verification code or full payment-card details.

1. Open your email application.
2. Address a message to [support@alysium.ai](mailto:support@alysium.ai).
3. State whether you want account deletion, a copy of your data or removal of particular content.
4. Identify the relevant account and any specific agent or file involved.
5. Check that the message describes the outcome you intend.
6. Send the email.

For example, you could adapt this wording:

> I use this email address for Alysium. I want to ask about deleting my account, rather than only removing one document. Please explain the next steps and what you need to identify the account.

Replace the deletion request with a data-copy request if that is your need. This is suggested wording, not a promise of immediate deletion or export.

## What happens after sending

You have completed the request step when you have sent the email. The email does not itself erase an account or produce a download. The team needs to assess the request and explain the next steps.

Keep any confirmation and follow its instructions. No response time or fulfillment date is established here. A request remains a request until the team confirms what has been completed.

If you are unsure which outcome to ask for or need help with the next steps, use [Get help from a person](https://docs.alysium.ai/help/get-help-from-a-person.md). Describe the intended account or content change without including private document contents.
