# When your agent answers with a different model

> Understand why the answering model can differ from your saved choice, and use Running as in the builder to check the model actually replying.

Your saved model choice and the model answering a question can differ. Alysium can keep the saved choice while using a model allowed by the current space plan. In the builder, **Running as** names the model actually answering.

That notice does not mean your saved model was deleted. It explains the difference between the saved preference and the model the current plan can use for that response.

## Compare the saved choice with Running as

Open [Home](https://app.alysium.ai/spaces), select the intended agent, then open **Build → Settings**. Home opens your active space; you choose the agent there.

Read the model in **Choose Your AI Model**. Then read **Running as** above the preview when the notice appears. Expand it to see the explanation.

For example, an agent can retain a Pro-only model while its space is on Free. The preview can then use an included model for the reply. Reselecting the saved Pro-only model does not change the space's plan, so the same notice can appear again.

## Choose how to continue

You can select a model included in the current plan, or review the Pro upgrade. [Choose your agent's AI model](https://docs.alysium.ai/build-your-agent/choose-your-agents-ai-model.md) explains the model controls.

If you change the model, let the builder save finish, then ask a new question. Check the new reply rather than treating an unsaved selection as the result.

If you are considering Pro, [Billing](https://app.alysium.ai/spaces?settings=billing) opens your active space's plan and payment settings. Review the displayed offer and confirm the resulting account state before assuming model access changed.

For a short FAQ, you might first try an included model and compare its answer with your approved source. The notice alone does not establish that an upgrade is necessary for your task.

## If the notice does not match your expectation

Check the agent and space you are editing. Then check the space's plan in Billing. Resolve an unexpected billing state before repeatedly changing the model.

A builder preview notice does not establish every visitor's funding or access state. Brandy can explain the controls, but cannot inspect or change your account for you.
