# Who Alysium is for

> See when Alysium may fit a defined conversational role or information you can supply, whether you build an agent or use a creator's offer.

Alysium is useful to consider when you want an assistant that follows a defined conversational role or explains information you can supply. You can build your own agent or use one offered by a creator.

You do not need previous agent-building experience. You do need to choose a task and check the replies: an AI answer is not automatically an approved business fact.

## You have information people repeatedly ask about

A fictional workshop owner could provide preparation notes and an FAQ so visitors can ask questions about those documents. A teacher could organize reference notes around a course topic. These are example projects, not accounts of existing customers.

This kind of agent works best as a first project when you have a narrow source and can check the important answers yourself. Start with [Give your agent knowledge](https://docs.alysium.ai/knowledge-and-library/give-your-agent-knowledge.md).

## You want a structured conversation

An agent can use instructions and reusable skills to guide a type of conversation, such as exploring a business idea or reviewing a plan. You choose the role and review whether the discussion is useful.

If your task also requires booking appointments, changing customer accounts or browsing the live web on demand, check those requirements separately. [What you can build with Alysium](https://docs.alysium.ai/about-alysium/what-you-can-build-with-alysium.md) and [What Alysium cannot do yet](https://docs.alysium.ai/help/what-alysium-cannot-do-yet.md) explain the boundary between conversational help and outside actions.

## You want to try an agent before building one

Open [AgentHub](https://app.alysium.ai/agenthub), inspect a relevant agent and read its offer. The specific agent determines guest access, free preview, installation or subscription requirements.

[Browse and search Agenthub](https://docs.alysium.ai/agenthub/browse-and-search-agenthub.md) helps you find one. [Read an agent’s page](https://docs.alysium.ai/agenthub/read-an-agents-page.md) explains how to assess its offer. Using someone else's agent does not give you access to its builder.

## You want other people to use your agent

Create and check an agent from [Home](https://app.alysium.ai/spaces), then choose a link, website widget or selling route. Payment and marketplace setup are separate from ordinary creation.

Use [Selling agents with Alysium](https://docs.alysium.ai/about-alysium/selling-agents-with-alysium.md) to understand those choices. Follow [How to get started](https://docs.alysium.ai/about-alysium/how-to-get-started.md) if you want to learn by building a complete first agent.

## Check the fit for sensitive information

Consider whether you can supply reliable sources, check the important answers and use the available access controls. Read [Is my data safe with Alysium](https://docs.alysium.ai/about-alysium/is-my-data-safe-with-alysium.md) for privacy boundaries.

For a sensitive or regulated use, ask the team about your specific requirement before relying on the product for it. A feature list alone does not establish suitability.
